YouTube research
Save the exact moment — screenshot, transcript context and AI analysis, linked back to the timestamp.
Hit a hotkey to freeze your whole screen — even a moving video, a game, a popup that vanishes — drag a box over any region, and get an instant answer. Every answer becomes a research note with its source, saved, searchable, and exported as a memo.
Works where a browser tab or a live screen-share can't — over any app, on any Windows PC.
No full-screen recording. Frostle only analyzes what you select.

Pasting a screenshot into a chatbot gives you an answer you'll lose by tomorrow. Frostle is faster at capture, keeps the source and timestamp, and files every insight into projects you can search and export. It's not an answer box — it's your screen-to-research memory.
One hotkey freezes the whole screen — even a moving video or a popup that vanishes — so you can select the exact chart, table or stat that matters.
Every clip keeps its screenshot, the page or video URL, and the exact YouTube timestamp — so you can always trace a claim back to where it came from.
File clips into projects, tag and search them, then export a whole project as a clean Markdown memo for Notion, Obsidian or Docs. Everything stays local on your machine.
Videos, dashboards, courses, reports, competitor sites — if it's on your screen, Frostle turns the part that matters into a saved, source-linked research note.
Six research actions — Summarize, Explain chart, Extract table, Analyze implications, Research note, and Ask — plus live web research.

Collect product claims, pricing screenshots and feature notes into one tidy project.
Turn video moments into hooks, summaries and source-linked notes for your next piece.
Ctrl ⇧ B freezes your whole screen into a still you can work with.
Drag over a chart, table, slide or stat — even on a moving video.
Summarize, explain a chart, extract a table, analyze, note, or ask.
Keep it with its source link & timestamp; file it into a project.
Turn a project into a clean Markdown memo for Notion, Obsidian or Docs.
Every capture becomes a structured, source-linked clip you can search, revisit and export. A few examples:
Claim: weekly active devs on AI coding assistants ~3× year over year.
Why it matters: tooling spend is shifting from seats to usage-based AI.
| Plan | MRR |
| Pro | $8.2k |
| Team | $3.1k |
Insight: Pro drives ~70% of MRR; Team is the upside.
Caveat: one-time fees not separated in the source.
Key points: pick one ICP; sell the outcome; features prove it.
Follow-ups: Which ICP converts fastest? What's the one-line promise?

Keys stay in your OS keychain. API keys are stored in the Windows Credential Manager, never in a plain file. Privacy policy.
Frostle is built around workflow: hotkey capture, source links, timestamps, saved research clips, projects and export. ChatGPT can answer a screenshot; Frostle helps you build a reusable research library you can search and turn into a memo.
No. Frostle does nothing in the background. Only when you press the hotkey does it take a single still of your screen so you can select a region — it never records, streams or continuously watches your screen.
Yes. Your clips, projects and history live in a local database on your PC. If you bring your own API keys, they're stored in the Windows Credential Manager — never in a plain file. Only the region you select is sent to the AI provider to generate the answer.
Transcript support depends on availability — not every video has captions. Frostle still works with the screenshot and your selected visual context, and saves the source link and timestamp either way.
Yes. A single clip or a whole project exports as clean Markdown — paste it straight into Notion, Obsidian, Google Docs, or any editor. Source links and timestamps come along.
No. There is no sign-up and no billing — Frostle runs on your own API key. Paste it once on first launch and you're done. The key lives only in the Windows Credential Manager and is used to call your AI provider directly; your clips and history never leave your machine.
Frostle is Windows-native today (Windows 10 & 11), built to feel right on Windows first. A Mac version is on the roadmap and will follow based on demand.
